Our New Best Friend...

This post is hardly significant but, we hope, good for a smile.  Our new best friend here in No Man's Land (a.k.a. Quartzsite) is none other than

the big guy himself, Ronald McDonald.  Although the Desert Gardens RV Park (loosely) promise internet service to its campers, it would be impossible to obtain a signal even if you stood atop your RV with a wire hanger in your ear and a foil cone on your head!

That is why, every second night or so, we make our way to the (brand new) Golden Arches to join an ever-increasing number of hapless retirees who find themselves in the same predicament, purchase a coffee, set up our laptops and connect to the web courtesy of our new friend, Ronald.

So the next time you sit down to surf in the comfort of your home or workplace, think of us and how much cafeine we are forced to consume in order to say hi to those we love.  We think it is well worth it!
