As you are by now aware, what makes up Quartzsite's winter population is its visitors. People from every corner of the
U.S. and Canada (and from around the world) make their way here in order to spend their time and money at Quartzsite's famous markets. It cannot be imagined. One must really see it to believe it.

Since our arrival in town, we have spent more time than we care to admit shopping at the three or four shows (currently) spread out over a three- to four-mile area. The vendors have no interest in pressuring you, the deals are amazing, and the product even more so. But no "show" has come close (so far) to the QIA Pow Wow show, organized and hosted by the native Indians. We were told this group started the whole Quartzsite flea market craze. And they clearly know what they are doing!
There are more than 400 vendors selling jewellery, pottery, minerals and lapidary equipment. In the central part of the five or so acres is a food court of sorts. The organizers also offer hay wagon transportation to and from your vehicle. After all, they would not want us to become overtired and thus unable to shop! We so enjoyed this show, it took us two days to see the entire thing. Are we really up for more shopping, you may wonder? Hey, bring it on!
