Marc and I tend to shy away from such things as theme parties and other park gatherings, but we decided to put our big kid pants on and headed to
the KOA'S Christmas party held in the Rec Hall last night. And we are glad we did.
We had a wonderful time with lots of laughs, good food and a lot of new people. The thing about the RV lifestyle is everyone we meet is from somewhere else and they always have a story to share, whether about some nightmare they experienced in their travels or just a good old funny story or two.
Everyone in attendance was required to bring a wrapped gift (new, under $10 - men's gift from the man; woman's gift from the woman). The game we played is called Dirty Santa (also known as Chinese Auction). The gifts turned out to be quite nice. Marc ended up with a cool hammer/utility knife and I got a S'mores Kit which includes two snowmen mugs. Very cute.
So the lesson here is to step out of your comfort zone. You just might be surprised at what you find!
