SAD NEWS...

Sadly, we must report that we lost our beloved Peanut this past May 19, 2015.  He was 13 years old. We like to think he enjoyed his time on earth;  we know he gave us so much love and happiness. Peanut was a great travel buddy, although the first year we hit the road, he cowered at my feet in the truck all the way from Ottawa, Canada to Florida.  Loud interstate noises frightened him terribly, especially tractor trailer air brakes.  Eventually, two things happened:  First off, he got used to the strange noises; Second, in his 12th year, he began to lose his hearing.  Loss of hearing never stopped him from enjoying his time on the road, and he never ceased to charm those he met along the way. Peanut will be sorely missed.

Peanut thinks this is the best place in the world to be!

Peanut makes himself comfortable while on the road!
We think the old guy may be starting to show his age.  Whereas he used to jump up and hide at the sound of tractor trailers in the past, he now barely flinches.  We think his hearing is starting to go.  Or...maybe he's just mellowing out!

So much to do and so little time!

Peanut...

This is our shih tzu, Peanut.  He is also known as Sir Nut and Bob Barker (for obvious reasons!).  Despite his occasional barking fits, we love him dearly.  He's been with us for 10 years now and we hope he will be with us for many more.

Other than playing with his favourite ball or with one of his many "babies," his favourite sport is sleeping.  This he does very well!  Peanut travels well, as long as he has both me and Marc in his sights!

He's quite the character!  Makes us laugh with his crazy antics and gets our sympathy vote when he's feeling under the weather.  Of course, I forgot to mention that he very efficienctly rules the household with his 11-lb frame!  All is good as long as we remember who's running the show!
