This park is where we are currently staying. The park, we are told, was closed until two years ago when three siblings purchased it. It is an attractive park with lovely palm trees. They have done a lot to bring it back to life, but still
have a long way to go. This park is not a destination park; it is more of a "locals" park, and so things are very quiet during the week, with only a few RVs scattered throughout. Weekends are a completely different kettle of fish! The locals arrive one after the other and the park fills up by late Friday night.
There are live concerts by well-known Cajun bands every Saturday night and the music goes on until midnight. We are told the $10 entrance fee is usually worth the price.
There is a small lake and a smaller pond/beach, and both serve the purpose. Our one complaint is that dogs seem to be allowed to roam free, disrupting those pets which are kept leashed at the site. WiFi was a problem when we first arrived but that was fixed within four days.
The park is located approximately 2 miles from the City of Eunice. Eunice is not a large city by any means, but does seem to have everything we need, including a very good Mexican restaurant! A well-known Cajun restaurant is nearby, D.I.'s, but we have yet to try it out.
There is not much excitement going on at this RV park, but we are perfectly happy just taking it easy. We make a point of going out every couple of days or so, but always enjoy our time at home. We do not have much time left in the South and want to savour every moment!
