To Catch You Up!

Now that we have arrived (once again) in the South, we wanted to give you a brief outline of our Christmas trip.  First off, the weather for our drive to Ottawa was excellent.  A light jacket
was all we needed up until we reached Ottawa, then all went downhill from there.

Christmas was a fun time.  The usual suspects were in attendance;  even Santa made an appearance, which thoroughly thrilled our 4-year-old grandaughter, Aidan.

We cannot stress enough how much we appreciated Connie (Marc's mom) opening her home to us so that we could host xmas dinner.  Other than the event itself, we enjoyed the time we were able to spend with her.  We were also invited to our daughter's for a yummy feast, quality time we much appreciated.

The day before we were set to leave, we realized the truck would not start as it has not been plugged in, a necessity for diesel trucks if residing in the Great White North!  We called CAA and were able to hit the road, albeit one day sooner than planned.  The goal of the day was to drive, and not stop, until the temperatures were well above zero.
