San Antonio, Texas...

We truly enjoyed our week in San Antonio.  We stayed at an RV park located a short six miles from most of the downtown sights.  Must say...it felt a bit strange spending time in
a large, metropolitan city after living in the desert for so long!  What a treat it was to see trees and flowers and colour...

The first thing we visited was The River Walk.  Unfortunately, it was on a bit of a drizzly day, and we surely would have appreciated it much more had the weather been more favourable.  But the colours and sights were just as spectacular, and we enjoyed visiting the tiny shops along the Walk.

Our favourite shop was the Rainforest Café, with its quirky t-shirts and funny decor.

Had the weather been better, we could have enjoyed a gondola or boat ride down the canal.  But you should know...if you do not like climbing stairs, you may want to think twice about this place.  We certainly enjoyed it despite the ups and downs!
