Yes, we moved to Navarre, and no, it did not work out. The Santa Rosa RV Resort is a lovely park, but as with many new things, there are a lot of problems yet to be ironed out.
When we visited the park a couple months back and decided to
reserve a site, we specifically asked if WiFi was included and whether or not it functioned properly. We were assured it worked fine.
Of course, after arrival, we soon found out this was not the case. Not only did their WiFi prove to be weak, but during our three-day stay, we were unable to do something as simple as check our e-mail. As other Canadian snowbirds will attest, it is important that we be able to maintain contact with our family and friends. Something as basic as e-mail is really not too much to expect.
By the time we complained to the office, Marc (in his role as Social Butterfly!) had learned there were three other couples in our vicinity who were also unhappy with the park's connectivity. Two of them had already complained. When we spoke to the Manager, her response was to ask if we knew how much it cost to bring in a technician to look at the system. She complained that they would have to fork out $150 once again, and stressed that even if they figured out the problem, we would never be able to use Skype. She also said she believed that one of us (in that area of the park) was doing something on the computer which was disrupting the system.
When I reminded her that we had come to her park after assurances that the system worked fine, she said the only thing she could do was to offer us a refund. As Managers go, she is seriously lacking! And as a new park, they are not starting off on the right foot. We expected her to reassure us that the problem would be looked at immediately, etc...etc... So much for customer satifaction.
So we returned to Milton, to a park we know will offer great service and excellent internet.
If you are looking for a park to stay at in Navarre, Florida, we recommend you do not choose the Santa Rosa RV Resort! You will be disappointed.

If lots of snow birds are following your post, they sure will not camp there
