This morning, we were awakened by rain and nasty wind whipping at our awning. Marc (literally) jumped out of bed, while I slowly stood - LOL - and ran outside to
unhook the awning from the ground anchors, while I stayed indoors to press the switch to pull it in. (What can I say? Marc is a gentleman!)
It rained. And it continues to rain. It has been raining non-stop for about two hours now and it is approaching flood proportions at this point. At the time I started to write this post, Peanut had not yet been outside to do his morning business, because he was too frightened.
A few minutes ago, we took pictures of what is happening out there and we wanted to share one of these with you. Marc donned his aligator shoes and finally got up the courage to take Peanut outside to place him on a very tiny mound of grass so that he could pee. I took a picture of Marc afterward, sitting, drying his feet following his impromptu "swim."
