Yes, they made it!

What a sight to see!  Nat, Noka, and our two grandaughters at our door!  It turns out they opted to take a different route than the one we had suggested, and ended up driving approximately 7 hours more than
necessary.  Noka joked that they got to do a lot of touring along the way and even got to see the KFC headquarters in Kentucky!

Needless to say, everyone was beyond tired by the time they arrived.  Throughout the long, thirty-something hours on the road, they only stopped for a quick cat-nap and the odd bite to eat.

To make matters worse, little Cerys had an awful cold and was teething, so she truly was not a happy camper.

But the good news is we got to see everyone and to finally meet Cerys for the very first time.  She is a beautiful baby with the cutest smile (when she's not in pain, of course).  And we got a healthy dose of hugs from Aidan, too!

The first thing we did was feed everyone.  We went to Ryan's for dinner, then returned home to open Christmas presents.  We had planned on surprising them and showing up at Christmas, but the weather being what it was in Canada, we changed our minds.  So Aidan enjoyed Christmas in February.  We then encouraged Nat and family to get to bed early.  We could always catch up the next morning.
