Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder...

How true, at least according to a five-year-old!  We were spending some fun time at Navarre Beach, walking along the seashore, looking for seashells.  This was Aidan's very first time in Florida, and her first time ever to see the sea.

As we walked along, searching for the very best shells, she just picked shells up, willy nilly, throwing them into her net bag, not caring if they were chipped or broken.  So I tried to explain to her that if she took her time, she could find beautiful, unbroken shells to take back to Canada.  Her response?  ''But, Memère, they're beautiful to me.''  And that is when I began to compliment her on each and every shell she chose, no matter what its condition!
