As we (slowly) begin to think about our return to Canada, our family and friends have begun to update us on the weather situation in the Ottawa area.
There have been mild days and there have been cold days, but there have also
been snowy days. Of course, March can bring just about anything. But we need all that white stuff to disappear soon or we will be in serious trouble when we get home.
In his usual tongue-in-cheek way, our brother-in-law, Martin, sent us a picture of their front lawn on the first day of spring. How encouraging! Thanks, Martin!
For those of you who may not know how these things work, Canadians are allowed to be outside the country six months LESS one day per year. It all has to do with who gets to claim your tax dollars. Since we entered the U.S. on October 15, we must be in Canada by April 15. (We never worry about that extra day.)
The problem is we reside in an RV park south of Ottawa. If that snow doesn't disappear soon and the sun doesn't shine enough to dry up the ground, we just may have to live in the middle of a WalMart parking lot!
