Party On!

Our very first Mardi Gras party!!!  The party was hosted by the RV park and although we attended with some trepidation, it turned out to be a pretty good time.  We showed up over an hour late as

we did not want to participate in the games.  Dinner was a very southern potluck!  If you liked beans, you were all set!  Joking aside, everything was yummy.  Our contribution was my sinful fudge.

The highlight of the evening was definitely the crowning of the king and queen of Mardi Gras.  In the end, there was one king and two queens (it was a draw!), so the queens agreed to share the crown. 

We met people from all over the U.S. (we were the only Canadians).  A huge bonfire was lit, a DJ played some tunes and we danced until 10:00 p.m - quiet hour.
