Tall and Skinny!

We have noticed a trend here on the Gulf Shores, particularly in the Dauphin Island area.  Home rentals for tourists is very common, of course (and big business), but a different

and very original-type home seems to be dotting the coastline:  Tall, skinny houses.  Tourists renting these homes can conveniently moor their boats right outside the back door.  The houses look like little dollhouses, are usually painted in soft pastel colours and, as a bonus, hardly take up any space at all.  The houses seem to be around 18 feet wide, 10 feet deep, and usually three stories high.
