Bonita's Barefoot Beach...

First, I would like to apologize for taking so long between posts.  As you know, internet is not always easy to access while on the road, so out of necessity, I wait until we are settled into an RV park before "catching up."  I promise to step up the number of posts over the next few days.

We are currently in Bonita Springs, where will we stay for
the next six weeks except, of course, for our 3-day trip to the Keys between November 6 and 9.  The park is not overly large, but is quite lovely, has a heated pool, fishing pond, shuffleboard courts, pool table and recreation hall.

Today, we spent three hours on the beach at the Barefoot Beach Preserve, walking and searching for special treasures.  It was so warm, we could only go approximately 15 minutes at a time before needing to cool off in the water.  At one point, Marc unknowingly stepped on a stingray which gave him quite a fright, then rapidly scampered away.  Hence, the need for diving shoes.  My exciting find of the day was a starfish.  It was still alive, so I gently put it back in the water.

On the way home, we stopped for lunch at Coconut Jack's Waterfront Grille where we enjoyed the best po-boys we've had in a long time!  The shrimp was yummy and the table we were seated at allowed a clear view of the fish jumping at the inlet behind the restaurant.  It was an all-'round feast  for the tummy and the eyes!
