Town of Tombstone, Arizona

Whenever we visit an attraction, I always try to write something positive about the experience.  This will be a first for me because
I have absolutely nothing positive or kind to say about this town.
We were so looking forward to visiting Tombstone, a real, living town, known for famous shoot-outs (OK Corral), and of course, Sherrif Wyatt Earp

The town itself looks just fine, with cute little shops and two saloon/restaurants.  The sad part is the lack of atmosphere.  There is no western music blaring through the streets, no staged gunfights in the center of town, just no life!  We walked around feeling as though we should whisper, it was so quiet.  In order to make a few extra dollars, gunfights are held outside of town, where the audience is forced to pay for the privilege of watching.  The same goes for stagecoach rides, and visits to the mine.
It seems to us it would be more advantageous to charge a flat entry fee, then let visitors enjoy all the town has to offer, without so many restrictions.  Liven it up, people!

The one highlight was on our way out of town:  the Tombstone Cemetery.  This actual cemetery was saved by the township and restored to its original state a few years back.  Many tombs could not be identified and are marked as "Unknown," but many have their original, rather hilarious, markings.
