Yes, folks, we have located the most important store in the area: Hobby Lobby! If you have never been to this wonder of wonders, you are definitely missing something. Do you have an interest in crafts? Or maybe you prefer painting, sewing,
scrapbooking, whittling, baking, just to name a few. This store is choc full of just about anything your heart might desire. Michaels, move over!
Yesterday, I found some excellent fabric to make something for my grandaughters (the second one is literally due anytime!), as well as a few scrapbooking supplies I had run short on. Marc picked up a nifty blade for his carving.
Afterwards, we walked on to the next best thing: Books-A-Million. For our Canadian readers out there, this store is on par with Chapters, only with much better prices. I mean, we've all looked at a book we would like to buy, only to note the difference between Canadian and U.S. prices. Even with the exchange, it is well worth it. And for fans of the TV show "The Swamp People," there was an entire display dedicated to these characters.
We were both exhausted following (what I term) our shopping marathon, but there was no way we were heading home without a quick stop at Petland so that I can get a few puppy kisses to take home with me. Of course, before I enter these pet stores, Marc always makes me sign a contract promising we will not leave with one! No problem, we have our furry guy waiting for us at home.
We decided to stop for some grocery shopping in Pace, approximately 8 km from the RV park. By time we were done there, we were too pooped for much else, so I took Marc to Ryan's for supper. Ryan's is a buffet offering very good American (mostly Southern) foods. The service is always good and the prices even better. When two can dine for under $25 these days, you are definitely ahead, n'est-ce pas?!!
