We are happy to share with you that our daughter, Nat, her fiance, Noka, and their little ones Aidan and new baby Cerys, are driving from Ottawa to Florida to spend a week with us here in Milton! We are so happy and
can't wait for them to arrive!! We will be meeting the baby, Cerys, for the very first time!
They left at three a.m. this morning and phoned a little while ago to say they were just a bit past the halfway mark. They are trying to do the 23-hour drive in one shot, opting not to stay at a motel along the way. Nat said they were currently driving through a rough patch of icy roads through Cincinnati and were hoping to get beyond this soon as they had, so far, seen nine traffic incidents in that area.
I tried to convince her to stop for the night, but she seemed bent on driving straight through. We can only hope they will continue to drive with care. We are expecting them to arrive sometime early tomorrow morning.

ReplyDeleteYes, and we haven't figured out why yet... They used a map I googled and sent them, but somehow what I googled did not quite print out correctly. Will make sure they take the right route home.
