Why another ghost town, you might wonder?!! Well, we are in the west, after all! This particular ghost town is located at
the entrance to Apache Trail and is definitely worth a look-see.

The first thing you will see when you arrive is the cute little train that takes you around the immediate vicinity. We opted to skip the train and chose to snoop around by foot. Quite by coincidence, we soon discovered the annual chili cook-off was taking place on the very day we chose to visit. Last year, we had attended a crawfish cook-off in Louisiana and could now add another notch to our belt!

| Bordello |
For $4 each, we were given a tiny (2 oz?) cup with which to sample all the chilis, and then handed in our votes for the chili we felt was the best. We tried regular tomato-based chilis, a green pepper chili and a type of sausage chili. I cannot imagine what our poor stomachs thought about this strange meal!

| Jailhouse Rules |
After the chili tasting, we headed to the various stores spread throughout the town: a mercantile, pharmacy, sweets shop, potery, Indian handicrafts.... There was also a bordello, two saloons and a church. You could hop on a horse and ride through the desert or the town, at your leisure. All in all, a really fun experience.
Marc stayed out of Jail LOL
