On behalf of myself, Marc and Peanut, we would like to extend a very Merry Christmas to our friends, family and readers all over the world.  Be kind to those you love!

All the best in 2013!

A couple of days ago, while doing the good neighbour thing, we stood somewhere between our site and our new neighbours' site, introduced ourselves and chatted for 20 minutes or so.  Of course, meeting someone for the first time, you want them to

Yes, We're Still Here...!

For our friends and family who wonder why we are neglecting Juanita's Journey this season, we would like to explain why that is.  When researching RV parks this past summer, we chose to stay in the Florida panhandle

We Have Arrived!

We have finally arrived at our new "winter" home in Milton, Florida.  The drive from Ottawa was very pleasant, temps in the high teens and the scenery spectacular, thanks to all the glorious fall colours.  On our first day, we drove nine hours from Ottawa to Laurel, Maryland, to visit with our American friends, Mike and Shirley.  As usual,

We expected Apache Junction to be a tiny village at the entrance to the Apache Trail.  To our surprise, it is a fairly large town, elevation 1,750 feet above sea level, with a population of just about 80,000.  The backdrop to the town are the lovely Superstition Mountains.  Each year,

(Southwestern states have these checkpoints, where Border Patrol look into vehicles to ensure drivers are not carrying illegal immigrants, drugs or firearms.  The process is quick and painless.)

While chatting up one of our neighbours at the park, Marc (my social butterfly) learned, much to our surprise, that California is actually only 20 miles away. Trust me when I say that within
